The Pittsfield Family YMCA, located in central Berkshire County, focuses on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Aquatics
Lifeguard: A certified part-time lifeguard is needed to cover our 25-meter, 6-lane pool. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work flexible daytime hours, Monday through Friday.
Swim Instructor: A Swim instructor is needed to teach children the art and skill of swimming. The ideal candidate should be good with youth and be able to work Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
Swim Team Coach: A coach is needed for both our Summer (May-July: 3 evenings a week) and Winter swim team sessions. Our Polar Bear Swim Team works with youth from the ages of 5 to 18 years of age and competes with teams in the Western Massachusetts region.

YOUTH
After-school Coordinators: After-school coordinators are needed for the YMCA's program at Reid and Herberg's middle schools. The ideal candidate must be able to provide homework assistance, supervise and coordinate sports games and activities. Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:30-5 p.m.

FITNESS
Fitness attendants (20 hours per week): Energetic fitness attendants are needed to orientate new members, supervise the fitness center and maintain the equipment. The applicant should be available Monday-Saturdays.
Youth Sports Coordinator (20 hours per week): A Youth Sports Coordinator will organize the youth sports
programs at the YMCA. The ideal candidate must be responsible and self motivated. Wednesday and Saturday mornings are a must.
